Mackenzie Mindle
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
My name is Mackenzie and I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). I am registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and recently completed my Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology through Yorkville University.
When working with clients, I prioritize creating a safe environment and developing a strong therapeutic relationship as both provide the foundation of our sessions together. As your therapist it is my role to help guide you and provide you with the necessary knowledge and tools to accomplish your goals. You are ultimately the expert of your own life.
I have experience working in addiction and mental health services providing crisis support. These experiences have contributed to my understanding of how trauma, family dynamics, and systemic pressures impact mental health, especially for vulnerable populations.
When working with clients I prioritize a client centered approach grounded in warmth, empathy, and collaboration. In my work I draw upon various therapeutic modalities particularly Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Both modalities provide frameworks and strategies to support you in emotion regulation as well as identifying behavioural and cognitive patterns that may be contributing to your presenting concerns.
I have experience supporting clients with anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, self-esteem, patterns of disordered eating, grief, trauma, and anger management.
